  7. The CrossPoint Conferencing System (XPCS) is a customizable, multihost, network
  8. conferencing system designed specifically for UNIX. It operates on a single
  9. machine, or a network of machines. In addition, it can support both multiple
  10. message bases, and multiple conferences on the same host. XPCS has addressed
  11. security issues by providing password isolation from the host UNIX environment,
  12. level C2 compliancy, and password encryption. XPCS has automated backup and
  13. file maintenance, a complete menuing system driven by text files that are
  14. customizable on site, multiple protocol file transfers, the ability to add your
  15. own protocols, online help, and local as well as network moderation. XPCS
  16. provides users with the ability to configure their environment with the limit
  17. provided by the system administrator. Users can subscribe to or unsubscribe
  18. from private conferences, open conferences, and moderated conferences. In
  19. addition, XPCS supports e-mail -- private, group, and network. XPCS provides
  20. maintenance upgrades via a link with our support conferencing system. The
  21. system administrator can override logins or downloads, monitor activities, and
  22. in general, totally control the users and the user environment
  23.  
  24. XPCS provides a link to DOS-based PCs. It is customizable to any language. It
  25. has a complete menu subsystem that can be used to develop order forms or
  26. specialized menus. The menu provides a friendly interface for editing textfiles
  27. and all XPCS structures. It operates over local networks.
